The short version
- You can play Spin-It without giving us your name or email. A guest account is created for you so your progress can be saved.
- If you sign in with Google or Apple, we store the name, email and profile photo that provider gives us, so your progress follows you between devices.
- Your scores and stars appear on a public leaderboard under your display name. Nothing else about you is public.
- Purchases go through the App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details.
- You can delete your account, and everything it holds, from inside the app at any time. See Delete account.
- We do not sell personal data.

1. Who we are
Spin-It (the "App") is made and operated by Mazren Labs ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the App collects, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to the App on iOS and Android and to this website.
Questions or requests: mazren.labs@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
2.1 Account information
When you first open the App, a guest account is created for you automatically. It is a random identifier with no name, email or other personal detail attached. It exists so your progress can be saved and so you can appear on the leaderboard. A guest appears under an automatic nickname, a sky word plus a three-letter tag (for example Nova-7KQ), derived from that identifier. It cannot be changed.
If you choose to sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, your guest account is upgraded and we receive from that provider: your display name, your email address, and, for Google, a profile photo URL. Apple lets you hide your email; if you do, we receive a relay address instead. We use this to recognise you on another device and to show your name and photo on the leaderboard. If the provider shares no name, the same nickname is used instead.
2.2 Gameplay data
Stored against your account so it can sync across devices:
- Your best result on each level: score, stars, spins used, and when it was set.
- Your standing in weekly seasons.
- Whether you own the Pro upgrade.
- Which appearance items Muzu is wearing.
2.3 Public leaderboard
The leaderboard is visible to every signed-in player. It shows your display name, your score and star totals, Muzu's appearance, and, if you signed in with Google or Apple and the provider supplied one, your profile photo. Your email is never shown.
2.4 Notifications
Season reminders are scheduled on your device. If you turn on Season reminders in Settings, the App sets a local reminder that fires in the evening on a day when none of that day's season boards have been solved. Nothing is sent to us and no token is created for it.
The separate Notifications switch is for occasional announcements from us. While it is on, we store a push token for each device you use so we can deliver them. Turning it off removes the token.
2.5 Purchases
The Pro upgrade is a one-time in-app purchase sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Those stores handle payment; we never receive your card or bank details. We use RevenueCat to confirm which purchases belong to your account. RevenueCat receives your account identifier and the store's purchase receipt.
2.6 Advertising
The free version of the App may show ads served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, and technical details about your device and the App. You can limit ad personalisation in your device settings (see section 7). Google's use of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
2.7 Data that stays on your device
Your level progress, settings (sound, haptics, reduce motion, sky), and which tutorials you have seen are stored on your device. They are not sent to us unless they form part of the synced gameplay data above.
2.8 What we do not collect
- We do not collect your precise location.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
- We do not run a separate analytics or crash-reporting service. The aggregate figures we look at (for example, how many players solved a level) are computed from the gameplay data described above.
- Sharing a solve uses your device's own share sheet. Nothing you share is sent to us.
3. How we use it
- To run the game: save and sync your progress, show leaderboards and season standings, and unlock Pro.
- To send notifications you have turned on.
- To keep the game fair and safe: detect tampering and remove offensive names or implausible scores from the leaderboard.
- To show ads in the free version.
- To understand how the game is played in aggregate, so we can improve levels and features.
- To respond to you when you contact us.
4. Legal bases
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or a similar law applies, we rely on:
- Performance of a contract (our Terms of Service) for account, gameplay, leaderboard and purchase data.
- Consent for notifications and for personalised advertising, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Legitimate interests in keeping the game fair, secure and improving, balanced against your rights.
5. Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers needed to run the App, and only for the purposes above:
| Provider | What they do | Their policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase | Authentication, database, notifications and hosting for the App and this site. | Firebase privacy |
| Google AdMob | Serves ads in the free version. | Google ads policy |
| RevenueCat | Confirms in-app purchases. | RevenueCat privacy |
| Apple, Google | Sign-in providers and app stores. | Apple · Google |
Other players can see what is on the public leaderboard (section 2.3). We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of players or the App. If Mazren Labs is ever acquired or merged, your data would transfer to the new owner under this same policy.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
6. How long we keep it
- Account and gameplay data is kept for as long as your account exists.
- When you delete your account, your profile, scores, leaderboard row, season standings and push tokens are deleted from our database promptly. Copies in routine backups are overwritten on their normal cycle, within about 30 days.
- Purchase records are kept by Apple, Google and RevenueCat for as long as their policies require, so that Pro can be restored if you reinstall.
- Records of moderation actions may keep your account identifier, without your name or email, for up to 12 months.
7. Your choices and rights
- Delete your account and everything it holds from inside the App: Profile → Delete account. Details on the Delete account page.
- Sign out at any time from Profile. Your cloud data stays until you delete the account.
- Notifications can be turned off in Settings in the App, or in your device settings.
- Ad personalisation: on iOS, Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Apple Advertising; on Android, Settings → Google → Ads → "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization".
- Remove ads entirely with the Pro upgrade.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, export or erase your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to a data-protection authority. To exercise these rights, email mazren.labs@gmail.com from the address linked to your account. We answer within 30 days. We will never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
8. Children
Spin-It is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the age at which a child can consent to data processing where you live, if higher). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below that age. If you believe a child has created a signed-in account, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. Access rules ensure that only your own signed-in session can read or change your private data; leaderboard rows are readable by other players but can be changed only by their owner. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your Google or Apple account protected.
10. International transfers
Our service providers process data on servers that may be outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, those transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard maintained by the provider.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes we will let you know in the App or on this page before they take effect.
